Frequently asked questions

Do you really take 0% of my sales?
Yes. Every customer payment goes directly into your own Stripe account at checkout. We're software — we charge you a flat monthly fee for using the platform, the same way Adobe charges for Photoshop. We never see, hold, or take a percentage of your sales.
What about Stripe's processing fees?
Stripe charges their standard rate (1.5% + 20p for UK cards). That goes to Stripe, not us. We don't add anything on top.
Do I need to be VAT-registered to sell?
No. Most small UK shops aren't VAT-registered until they hit HMRC's turnover threshold. The platform supports both VAT-registered and non-registered sellers — if you're registered, we capture the rate at sale time so your records are HMRC-compliant.
Can I switch from Shopify / Etsy / WooCommerce?
Yes — and you'll keep more of every sale. There's no migration tool yet for product imports, but you can copy products across manually or use a CSV. We'll be adding bulk-import tools as the platform grows.
What happens if I cancel?
Cancel any time from your dashboard. Your store stays live until the end of your current billing period, then goes into a 14-day grace state where you can still log in to export your data. After that the storefront is suspended (returns a "store closed" page) but your data is retained for 90 days in case you reactivate.
Why is this cheaper than Shopify?
We're a smaller, focused product. We don't run app stores, marketing budgets, or hold customer money. The whole stack is leaner — and we pass that on instead of pocketing it.
